I'm going to be explaining to you the difference in durability between hardwood and LVP. Now a lot of us when we're shopping, we're looking for hardwood when we're shopping for flooring, not knowing that there's another option just as beautiful, but even more durable and even more affordable, which is LVP. LVP stands for luxury vinyl planks and at MyFlooring we offer you high quality LVP for a really great price, plus installers. So, I'm gonna show you how durable LVP is and how great of an option it is. So let's do some scratch testing.
I'm going to take my car keys, scratch this up and be really rough with it. As you can see, those scratches absolutely show up on hardwood. Now, what would happen if we took some keys to the very durable LVP. This LVP sample is from our traditional collection. This shade is in Bay of Plenty. Now, LVP, unlike some hardwoods come with ridges. And so these ridges help with durability and the material itself is very durable, it'll last you many years. So let's do the scratch test on this piece of LVP.
I'm scratching just as hard. And lo and behold. Nothing is happening. Nothing's happening. Nothing. Wow. Now, which one of these would you wanna put in your house? Hardwood is long-lasting and it's beautiful, but it's not nearly as durable or affordable as LVP. So if I were in the market for flooring, I would wanna install high quality LVP. Why? Because it's lightweight, it's durable, it's waterproof, it's stain resistant and let's be real, it's gorgeous. But don't just take my word for it. You can sample this yourself, scratch it up yourself, all you have to do is order your samples at myflooring.com.
